DEAN! OH, DEAAAAN!

By Dean Martin on Saturday, February 02, 2002 - 10:36 am:

When the moon's in your eye like a big pizza pie, that's amore! (hic!)

By Landon on Wednesday, February 13, 2002 - 11:56 am:

I was wondering something...I remember people thought it was so funny when Dean would sing "everybody loves somebody sometime," and I wonder why? Can anybody here explain it? Thanks.

Wasn't that his theme song, in the same sense that "Thanks for the Memories" is Bob Hope's?

Yep (although nowadays he's better known for That's Amore).
Dunno why people would've thought it all that funny, though, Landon...unless maybe he combined it with his 'drunk' schtick?

These guys weren't really right for the radio. Now, Dean, if he was solo, I bet he could have had like a Bing Crosby-type show (much like his TV show) where he would sing, make chatter, and do some sketches. But Jerry was always a visual type and you can really hear him stretch. The radio basically turned him into Lou Costello.
