In this episode, we got to see our first view of Clark moving at superspeed and how he perceives everyone else to be moving in slow-mo. I'd always thought this would be a great effect to use after the constant misuse of Superman going into a streaking blur to indicate superspeed in the series "Lois and Clark"

I also liked the slo-mo method. But if they used it all the time it would get tedious so I'm also pleased that they alternate.

When Lana gets kidnapped, Whitney is thrown into a stall and knocked unconsious. How did he know what direction bug-guy was taking her?
