I'd always thought in the early episodes that Clark's dad looked like one of the guys from "Dukes of Hazard". Then when they played the music from the series at the start of this episode, I realised it was him.
It took you that long to figure it out? I never even WATCHED (nor liked) Dukes of Hazard but I recognized him in the pilot.
Art, yes, John Schneider is credited with being in the Dukes of Hazzard. He was also in Dr Quinn, Medicine Woman.
Brian, I rule with an iron fist. I don't even bother with velvet gloves. Or silk gloves or whatever. That post can be read two ways...one incredulous and one insulting. I'm going with the incredulous interpretation.
Just an FYI. ;)
Just as an aside, they weren't playing the Dukes of Hazzard theme in this episode as a tribute to John Schneider, but actually as a tribute to Waylon Jennings, the singer behind the song, who had passed away a few months earlier.
The plot for this one looks like it was inspired by a couple of original Star Trek episodes, "This Side of Paradise" and "The Naked Time".
MJ: Brian, I rule with an iron fist.
Luigi Novi: Iron Fist is gonna show up on the show? Can't be. That's a Marvel character, not a DC one.
My brother just noticed. Hamilton's computer has no power supply. Obviously, it's just a dummy prop.
