Nitcentral's Bulletin Brash Reflections: Smallville: Season Five: Fade

I'm so tired of him not flying yet. C'mon, it's been 5 frickin' seasons already and the best he can do is run at blurryingly speeds or jump long distances? I know that's how he was in his very first iteration but the Smallville folks have messed up so much about him already for over 100 episodes so why the hell not just let him fly for a frickin' change? Nevermind floating above his bed while having a wet dream of Lana (or whatever it was), either, damnit.

Oh, and did anyone else catch the oh-so-trite flying star when that pretty brunette comes on to Clark? At least it's always great when they find some excuse to put Erica Durance in tight, two-piece or lowcut outfits...not that they really need any excuses, of course. ;)

And was it just me or did anyone else notice that the silencer on Lex's gun in the hospital seemed to be pointed a bit downward instead of being straighter?

I work in a hospital, and I gotta tell you Smallville Medical Center is really either an incredibly understaffed hospital or the staff is sooo good that when their done with their rounds, everyone goes home! I have NEVER seen or heard of a hospital where it can be the middle of the night--(I'm assuming thats the time when Lex was attacked in the hospital)--and not even the janitor is around!

Well, it's a small town so they probably can't afford to hire as many hospital staff as they might actually need, residents or otherwise. :)

I'm a little confused with how this invisibility thing works. Most of the time, we honestly can't see anything (assuming we're actually looking at the right spot, of course) but when the guy "disapears" in front of Clark, we can very clearly see a distortion where his body is. If this is the case, there are several moments where other people ought to notice him. Is the "Predator effect" only a temporary thing right after he goes invisible?

Speaking of which, I'll be the one to flog the dead horse of invisible man nits and ask why we can't see the fellow's clothes after his body becomes invisible.

here's another one for you, in the scene with Lois we are seeing things from above...at least thats the way it appears, so when this guy turns invisable can he fly?

Perhaps his powers extend to anything he touches. SciFi Channel's "The Invisible Man" did this with the Quicksilver agent.

Or "The Incredibles" did the same thing.

TUE

"Don't you think about running off doing no derrin'-do. We've been planning this dinner for two months!"
"The public is in danger!"
"My evening's in danger!"
"You tell me where my suit is, woman! We are talking about the greater good!"
"'Greater good?' I am your wife! I'm the greatest *good* you are ever gonna get!"

I was wondering how he was able to walk into a busy, crowded area like the Daily Planet and not have anyone bump into him.

Chloe says in that there was nothing on the wall of weird about camouflage abilities or chameleon (can't remember which) but didn't Clark tangle with an invisible girl in the first or second season?

Or "The Incredibles" did the same thing.

Technically, Violet's powers didn't extend to anything she touched. Her costume was just specifically designed to change with her.
