Season Six?

Nitcentral's Bulletin Brash Reflections: Smallville: The Kitchen Sink of Solitude: Season Six?

Has anyone heard any information on whether there's going to be a sixth season for this show. Years ago, when this show first came out, I remember reading in TV Guide that the creators intended for this to be a 5 year show; however, I haven't heard anything about this show being renewed or cancelled for next year.

Any word?

From what I've read, it hasn't been renewed for CW yet. TV Guide's Michael Ausiello has no doubt that it will be though. I know that Miles and Al are planning big things for next year. And considering how the ratings have gone this year, I'd say we'll be getting another year.

I know that one mantra of the show's producers way back when the series was in early development was "no flights, no tights". However, the show's now in its sixth season, and it's getting a little tedious watching Clark Kent just running really fast to get from Smallville to Metropolis (as an example) in a few seconds. At this point, I think Clark should start showing signs of developing a flight ability. No tights though.

I would guess that they'll save it for the finale, whenever that turns out to be.
