Nitcentral's Bulletin Brash Reflections: Smallville: Season Six: Labyrinth

This was a pretty disappointing episode, in my opinion.

It felt like they were trying to capture some of the feel of "Normal Again," from Season Six of BtVS, but it was just too hard to swallow. It feels like they spent the entire episode just seeing how far they could drag out the mental hospital thing just to fill the hour so they could do a dramatic reveal with the Martian Manhunter at the end.

Maybe it feels like that because that's pretty much exactly what they did, I dunno.

It's good to know that Clark still has the dog, though. I'm not sure why, but it is.

Although I have to admit, I actually didn't pick up on the Martian Manhunter when he first appeared in the hospital, even though I kinda saw him coming (after all, something is going on in Clark's head, and there aren't that many telepaths in the Justice League in the comics, it's pretty obvious what they were going for). But why did he just tell Clark he was from Mars? Why didn't he point out that he went after the other Phantom Zone escapee as well? The Zoner in Clark's head clearly found him anyways so what was the point in holding back?
