Having read The Handmaid's Tale, Alias Grace and (just finished) The Blind Assassin I am in awe of this woman's ability to create...well...the best way I can describe it is a three-dimensional reading experience. She gives life to her characters and their emotions in a way I've never quite experienced.
Which, I realize, may just reflect my dearth of quality reading material...but I still think she's something special. Anybody else?

I agree. The Handmaid's tale was indeed a three dimensional reading experience. ( as I believe is often true, I thought that the book was better) I am glad to see a board for readers! thanks.
