She probably should go under Horror or Suspense or something, but after having read Flowers in the Attic back when it was fashionable for teenage girls to do so...ahhh, those were innocent days...anyhow, I somehow never got around to the various sequels. So I'm not really up on her (or more accurately her estate's) latest.

Her major value to us booksellers, actually, used to be as a boredom cure. A co-worker of mine with a gifted poker-face, when asked about her by breathless teen fans, used to direct them to the books and then add calmly: "Oh, and you know she's dead, right?"
The looks of confusion and dismay were priceless. Cruel, yes, but priceless. :)

Yea, I have said that when helping readers find the books as well. I'm a bookseller, and remember her death announcement, right after the movie was just finished being filmed. She had a cameo as a maid in it.
I am told, that Stephan King's wife, is now writing for her.
