I heard someone talk about turning this (Flight of the Old Dog -Mod) into a movie. You think it's true?

By Brian Webber on Wednesday, March 14, 2001 - 4:38 pm:

Don't know. But if they do I hope they get a good cast. And a good director. And whoever adapts this book to screenplay isn't like the putzes responsible for Dune, Total Recall, and Captain America.

I found this book (Silver Tower -Mod) for a decent price at a Thrift Store. I'm looking forward to reading it.

The new Dale Brown book (Battle Born -Mod)! Available in paperback now. haven't read it yet though. It's near the bottom of "the pile." Maybe once I've read Wizard and Glass and The Man in the High Castle I can get to this one.

Hasn't anyone around here EVER read this book (Day of the Cheetah -Mod)? I thought this book was great!

By Douglas Nicol on Sunday, March 16, 2003 - 1:59 pm:

I've only just started reading Brown's novels after reading everything Patrick Robinson did. So far I've done Flight of the Old Dog, Night of the Hawk, Chains of Command and Shadows of Steel.

I've noticed some Dale Brown novels with the name of Dreamland on them. Is this the same dodge that Clancy pulled with the Op Centre books?

By Brian Webber on Tuesday, September 02, 2003 - 9:34 pm:

I think the dif is Dale brown actually WRITES the Dreamland stuff instead of pawning it off. I guess Dreamland is just Brown's New Frontier (Peter David's Star Trek novel series for those NITK) equivalent.
