This book (How to Talk Dirty and Influence People -Mod) convinced me of the existance of Anti-heroes as idols. I'm in high school, and Lenny Bruce embodies everything I can say. He's smart, funny, and ULTRA observant, not to mention that he's blanket-anti. I found myself agreeing with him more and more, as the book went on. The chapters are quick, dirty, honest, and jagged- in other words, exactly what I expected. He just did things which I wish I could have done, said things I wish I could have said, etc. Of course, because of Lenny, I can do and say those things. Oh, just buy the book already.

Read this a long time ago. I admire Bruce, overall. I've read his wife's autobiography, Honey. Soon, I plan to read Albert Goldman's bio of Lenny. I expect, from having previously read Goldman's bios of Elvis and John Lennon, the book to be full of almost envious hatred of its subject matter, but, I also realize that though Goldman twists a lot of things, he still has quite a bit of good research in his works.
