The Peter Decker/Rina Lazarus novels are the ultimate Mary Sue.

Having said that, in "Prayers for the Dead", Decker doesn't realize that Rina knows Bram Sparks. How can he not know this? They invited Bram to their wedding! And he accepted but was a no-show. If nothing else, the name should have set off alarm bells in his head.
