I recently learned why this episode was shot after Survival, instead of before. In Survival, they just have Foster there as part of the crew. But then they decided that they needed a background story for him to show how he became a part of SHADO, so they did this episode. You'd think they would have thought of that BEFOREHAND!
Foster needs to learn a lot about breaking & entering. He doesn't even wear gloves.
The thugs who break into Foster's apartment need to learn a lot about breaking & entering. They don't even wear gloves.
Why didn't Foster question why Janna just happened to have a 10-year old newspaper? Yeah, you want this genius in charge of Moonbase.
Frankly this seems to be a rather shoddy way to recruit new members for SHADO.
When the aircraft is damaged and in a dive, the altimeter is spinning, indicating the plane is *GAINING* altitude!
Watching this episode reminded me of Space: 1999 in that you have a main character survive a crash while his co-pilot is killed as happened in several 1999 episodes, and you have a veteran pilot encountering the unknown and not being believed as in the 1999 episode "Dragon's Domain," only to be vindicated at the end. Of course unlike "Dragon's Domain" the authorities in fact do know the character in question is in fact correct in his claims.
They did a whole lot of jerking Foster around here. Why didn't they just say, "What your camera captured has been classified. You are not to speak of it to anyone."
Given the state of British secrecy law, that should have done the trick.
What is the symbol on the blue-and-yellow flag outside the studio HQs?

I really can't say. I'm not familiar with it, but being a TV show it could be a fake flag.
