Am I alone in quite liking The Long Sleep? Ok I haven't seen it for a while, but I remember thinking it was ok, if a little camp.

No, Alice, you're not alone. The one thing that can start a heated debate about UFO is which episodes are the best or worst. Everyone has their own reasons for liking or disliking an episode. Storyline, those cool models, or just a glimpse of Gay's thigh (or Paul's chest, depending on your gender.) So like away!

One of my favorites is Survival, except I wish they hadn't killed the alien at the end.

It's been a long time since I've seen any of them... From what I remember, I liked Survival and Court Martial.

Ordeal is a disappointment: Foster dreams of being abducted by the aliens. What a detailed dream! An objective viewpoint, seeing what SHADO is doing to try and stop the aliens from getting away with him, Dr. Jackson's comments about Moon Base's medical facilities being crude before he goes onto the video link.

Reminds me of the original "Invaders From Mars", where the boy dreams about the military mobilizing in such tedious detail.

You tend to doubt it really was a dream... like dreaming about Bobby Ewing being dead and a whole year of happenings without him... (not to debate Dallas here, but it would have made more sense for Bobby to be absent a year for reasons of industrial espionage or something).

One of my bugaboos about the whole series is the way they made the UFOs mysterious - where was the hatch? And how did SHADO manage to build a space probe that could travel at least eight or nine times the speed of light... or more... and an FTL transmitter to send the pictures back to Earth?!

(Nearly every episode that UFOs came in from deep space, the Moon Base operatives reported that the speed was Sol 8 - eight times the speed of light, since in one episode, if not others, SID gives the speed in miles per second or miles per minute - and it was way over 186,000 miles per second or 700 million miles per hour!)

Every ep has something great in it. Even the ones some aren't too fond of. ESP has a great scene with a UFO crashing into a house. Flight Path lets us see Alec in his undercover spy mode, plus, great FX of UF0s attacking a SHADO car and Moonbase!

My biggest complaint about UFO is that there just isn't enough eps (one season only). I wanted more eps!
