SHORT SHOW SYNDROM - What in the world was with Mal at the end of the ep during the final confrontation with Tracey? They came up with a plan to get everyone out of there in one piece. Tracey hears the last part of it and it sounds like they are going to turn him over to the Feds so he picks up a gun and demands that they fire up the engines and run. What does Mal do? He lectures Tracey on how he brought it on himself, and he's not going to let his crew get killed for helping an old friend and the like. All of that makes it sound like he is going to turn Tracey over to the Feds. How about say somehting like, "were not turning you over to the Feds, we have a plan now put down the gun and we'll tell you about it." Heck they probably could have still ended the ep the same way if Tracey doesn't believe him and refuses to let Kaylee go, than they would still have to shoot him.

Speaking of this big plan. Why in the world would they let that Fed go. Remember that he now knows where Serenity is, his ship has weapons and the crew of Serenity has info on his illegal dealings. Wouldn't he just blast them when he gets back to his ship so they don't make trouble for him later?

"They don't like it when you shoot at them." Mal; that entire scene was hilarious! I doubt making a Y incision will ever not be used for autopsies, and Simon wasn't even close making one. Plus, what's-his-name hardly bled at all. Zoe frequently uses a sawed-off, lever-action rifle, except when she's breaking Mal out in War Stories. In such close quarters it'd probably be more useful.

How often do Mal and his crew check their mail? Tracey could have been in that coffin for months. Would he last that long?
