Great episode, I guess every hero in gotham has to have some defining tragic moment in their life. The previews for this lied, it made it look like it had something to go with the catwoman. Lori Loughlin did a great job as black canary and it would be good if they could bring her back. I know its Cliche but I was shocked when we found out that the Hawk guy was Reese's father.

The only reason I watch Birds on a typical Wednesday is just so I can continue to marvel at how the producers of Smallville (of which I'm utterly addicted to) manages - on a consistent basis - to turn out such a...piece of junk...show.

I'm being nice.

I know it has to do with the writers, and with the actors, and blah blah blah. But criminy, this show just bites. The writers bite, and I utterly dislike both Ashley Scott and Rachel Skarsten (they have all the acting ability of the bag of Halls cough drops on my desk).

But maybe the show's FINALLY going to turn around. I actually liked this episode. It didn't bite as bad as the others. I don't know if it was because of Lori Loughlin, or if everyone finally got their act together, or what.

This is the first episode, mind you - not counting the unaired pilot - that I liked.

I'm in utter shock.

In response to the previous message, I think "Birds of Prey" could use significant improvement. Right now, I do not think it is a very good show. However, I realize that it often takes a full season or two for a show to hit its stride (e.g. "Star Trek: The Next Generation"), so I'm optimistic about the show's future.

Can we call this show "Heroes: The Next Generation"? They seem to be killing off all the old heroes. Batman's gone, Batgirl's been put out of action, and now they killed off Black Canary. when do we get to see Nightwing - in tights?!?! Woowoo!!
The show's ok, but it does need work. I think it's better than ST:TNG; after all, I spent the entire first season of ST:TNG saying "I cannot believe they said/did that!"
