CJ returns to her high school reunion in Dayton, OH, to give a speech on "The Promise of a Generation." She's been trying to avoid the trip, and everyone assumes it's because she doesn't want to waste time at the reunion. In reality, she's afraid to see how badly her father's Alzheimer's disease has progressed. Upon arriving, she finds the place a mess, her father barely holding together, and his wife gone, unable to handle his condition.
