Near the end of the episode, the Captain of Air Force One announces that they will be landing on Runway "Three-niner". This is nonsense, runways are named after their heading in degrees divided by ten. So a runway on heading 290 degrees is called Runway 29, etc. The highest number for a runway would be 36. I'm also not convinced that the fighter jet glimpsed from Air Force One was an F-16, it looked like it had a twin tailplane. The F-16 has a single tail, both the F-14 and F-15 have twin tailplanes. I can't be sure though, as the shot changed quickly.
The highest number for a runway would be 36
Except that bearings run from 0 to 359, so the highest number for a runway should be 35.
Runway designators are 'rounded up', so they run from 01 to 36.
Ah. Thank you.
[JOHNNY-CARSON] I did not know that! [/JOHNNY-CARSON]
