Quite good, though I thought it would have been much harder to get Zoe. It seemed slightly easy.

The scene where Bartlet kissed Zoe's head cinched it for me: Martin Sheen is absolutely fabulous. Yes, I already knew this, but...

I liked the Truman scene between Walken and Fiderer.

I was right about Josh! I loved Atwood's comeback to him. And the scene between Bartlett and Walken at the end was great (offering to campaign, with Walken's comeback)... Very well done.

I really like John Goodman in this role.

What about Josh?

I agree with you Hanna. I had the thought in the back of my head that we would never see a dramatic rescue or anything like that. We always see things from the perspective of the White House where they only hear about events after the fact.

Generally, I was a bit disappointed with this story. It goes back to when they decided to pull the trigger (as it were) on Sharif. Bartlett admitted to Leo that what they were doing was wrong and that it would eventually come out. Then he went ahead and did it anyway. The kicker should have been that he knew he couldn't tell Abbey about it. He knew she would never go for it. Did that act as a further deterence from them doing this thing? NO.

Now those chickens have come home to roost and I don't think Abbey will forgive him anytime soon.

Where's Charlie's seen with Zoey at the end? We got NOTHING??? I couldn't believe it. Even 30 seconds would have sufficed. A couple of long looks and a few "I'm sorry's" would have made a great scene.

By ScottN on Friday, October 03, 2003 - 12:38 pm:

There was one long look.

People, there is an 'H' on the end of my name!

We now return you to your regularly scheduled thread.

One more thing. We finally got to see a 'real' map of the fictititous country, Qumar. It appears they carved out a piece of southeastern Iran, bordering on the Persian Gulf.

A quick re-read of this thread shows that it was me that mis-spelled your name, Hannah.

Sorry bout that.

As an easy reminder to everyone, just remember that her name is a palindrome! ;^)

Carry on.....

Meh, Berry misspells it all the time. So does half the d@mn guild...

By ScottN on Friday, October 10, 2003 - 12:57 pm:

CC, did you see the Zits strip, where Sara complained about people mispronouncing her name "Sarah"?

TrekGrrl has the same problem (people adding an "h" where there is none).

H? what H?, Hanna?...H?

By Hannah F., West Wing Moderator (Cynicalchick) on Saturday, October 11, 2003 - 12:31 am:

Nein.

I do love the strip, though...

So we should call you "CCH"? :O

By Hannah F., West Wing/C&J Moderator (Cynicalchick) on Sunday, May 21, 2006 - 11:24 pm:

A) Awful quick, aren'cha buddy?

B) Carbon-chlorine? No.

By ScottN on Monday, May 22, 2006 - 10:21 am:

Quick is one thing that guys don't like to be called :)

By Hannah F., West Wing/C&J Moderator (Cynicalchick) on Monday, May 22, 2006 - 11:58 am:

*snerk*

By ScottN on Monday, May 22, 2006 - 1:13 pm:

By the way, Carbon-Chlorine would be CCl, not CCH. CCH is an incomplete part of a hydrocarbon

Chemistry wasn't my favorite subject, and I took it as a junior in HS. Long ago. :P

Synopsis for this episode:
While the search continues for Zoe, president Walken raises the ire of the White House staff by pushing his party's own agenda.

By Norman Buchwald (Norm) on Thursday, May 09, 2013 - 10:03 am:

Walken does not need to wait two years to re-run in his old seat. Wouldn't a special election happen in his district within months (if not weeks)?
