Go CJ go! I haven't seen it mentioned in the spoilers, but did anyone else get the impression that she is considering resigning?
Toby: "Why didn't Sharif get a trial or a tribunal? Who's asking those questions?"
CJ: "I am. Those are my questions."
Mine too.
Still no scene with just Charlie and Zoey....
This is not my nit. I found it on the "Unofficial West Wing Guide" site.

What happened to the rest of May and all of June?
Zoey's graduation was in early May. Her abduction covered two days (starting that night). How can one week later be The Fourth of July?
The show has never done time well. At the end of the first season there was an assassination right after the Georgetown Law School Graduation in May. Next we knew it was August and one week after the assassination attempt! At that time we lost two months. This time we only lost a month and a half. Maybe they are getting better.
I love those people; I don't even remember how I found that site.
In an itonic casting twist, the guy who was the new House Speaker who had the VP list was the actor who played Bobby Kennedy in the movie Thirteen Days. That is a great movie that anyone who is a fan of this show should see. The movie shows what a great President would do in a crisis, unlike what would happen if the current Idiot-in-Chief was faced with a crisis.
One question - who was the guy who resigned that they kept talking about? I missed that part.
VP John Hoynes (played by Tim Matheson). He resigned in S4's "Life On Mars", due to a sex scandal, setting former Speaker Walken (John Goodman) to be the Acting President after the events of "25" through "The Dogs of War".

No, I knew that part. I'm talking about the guy who wrote a letter complaining about the assassination of Sharif. Sorry for the confusion.
BTW: I meant to say ironic - lousy typing on my part.
Another interesting casting choice - Bill Lumburgh as VP - see the movie Office Space for reference. "Um yeah, we need that bill passed by tonight. That'd be great, Um Kay? Thanks."
Harvey,
I tried to follow the bit about the resignation letter. While I didn't get all the details, I definitely got the idea that it was a member of the cabinet who resigned in protest of the Sharif assasination.
I taped it and will have to go back and watch it again. I'm sure it's a name they mentioned before so once I have the name, I should be able to find out which secretary it was.
Harvey, I was thinking the same thing: Lumburgh!
Too bad about Berryhill. I loved the line he gave to Bartlett. "... I'm spoiling for a fight", or words to that effect.
Hannah,
I was actually an extra in Office Space, so I am partial to the movie.
Where can I see you?
In the scene where Lumburgh is talking about the banner "Is This Good for the Company?" I am the tall blonde guy right behind the principle actors.
Mybe they should get the post-traumatic stress syndrome shrink back to work with Zoe.
I agree. I mean, Abby's an MD, fer goodness sakes! She knows about PTSS! Why doesn't she have that kid in counseling?

Oh, and for more info, look here. Neener neener neener .
Looks like the 'S' is SCALE, not syndrome. In fact...

Ed: The show has never done time well.
Right on, Ed. I can't count the times that Christmas or another major holiday or a season change has just come up and smacked me in the face. It usually happens when my wife turns to me and says, "Wait, it's Christmas on the show? Weren't the leaves just turning colors last week?"
Missing line:
Berryhill: It's OK that I won't be VP. I'm going to change my name to Hayes and become president anyways!
ref: Stargate SG-1. President Hayes is played by William DeVane
LOL.
When Bartlet was talking to Mr. Dull, and escapes to Debbie, he has to go back in.
I would have jammed the ceremonial pen on the desk through my eyesocket.
Oh, and I'm watching the Chimp-in-Chief's GOP Convention speech now. My doctor would faint if he knew what my blood pressure is right now.
Synopsis for this episode: With Bartlett re-instated it is imperative to find a new VP but things become unstuck with the Republicans throw in a list of potential VP's. Meanwhile the Bartlett household is still very much divided over Zoe and a long term friend appears to be the pawn in the middle.
