Wow.

Israel's HAD nuclear weapons. Hmmm.

(And the prospect of Iran having them is bad (though I thought they did)).

It's generally been acknowledged (even outside the WW-verse) that Israel has had nukes since before the Yom Kippur War (1973).

AFAIK, Iran doesn't yet have nukes, but they're trying, which is why they were part of the "Axis of Evil".

I like Bob Russell. To be honest, I kind of liked him from the start when Bartlett was interviewing him for the job.

I just like that he's from Colorado. :) Thanks to Gary Hart this show is probably the only place where we'll ever see a Coloradoan in the White House. :(

I like him too, though I really wanted to see a woman in the role. ^.^

Then why don't you run, Webber? :P

By ScottN on Friday, February 13, 2004 - 1:35 pm:

I liked the subtle "I know something you don't know" bit that Russell gave to Will. The "I don't worry about respect from the President" (or words to that effect) line.

Hannah: Well there's the whole me being only 22 thing for starters. :)

Then run when you're old enough, like I'm going to do, dearie.

By Brian Webber on Monday, February 23, 2004 - 3:48 pm:

I already plan on running for the Senate in 2014. I'll be 32, 3 years too young for a Presidential run, but two years older than the minmum for the Senate. :)

In the Sit Room, Bingo Bob makes reference to the Israelis developing "cruise missiles." However, the Israeli PM states that the missiles are necessary to defend Israel against Iran.

Cruise missiles don't seem like the logical choice. They flow LOW on the ground and have, at best, a range of about 1,000 km (600 mi or so). The only way an Israeli sub could fling cruise missiles at Iran is if they entered the Persian Gulf which, as everyone knows, means sailing through the very narrow Strait of Hormuz. And if the Iranians thought the Israelis were sending subs armed with cruise missiles after them, it would be a simple task to flood the Strait with mines, thus cutting off Israeli access (and, incidentally, access to OPEC's oil).

Plus, I doubt a cruise missile caused the atmopsheric detonation witnessed by NORAD. I think BB meant to say "ballistic missiles."

Synopsis for this episode: A major international crisis threatens to detonate when a nuclear test is detected. The question is, who detonated it? The answer comes from an unexpected source. Meanwhile, CJ is baited by a talkback host.
