:o

I wonder if Alda's pause in the beginning was scripted. And all the fumblings..

I think we got the East Coast version (taped) here in N.M. The only glitch was that when they started the broadcast, the audio was about ten seconds behind the video! Oops.

So, if both sides threw away the rule book, we could have a debate like that? Eh. Okay, I guess.

Neither side really seemed that strong to me. I guess we'll have to wait a couple of weeks to see who "won."

Very good episode! I wish all debates could be like this one. I would have loved to see the look on Bruno's and Josh's faces when they changed the debate format.

I have to give kudos to the writers for not making Vinick a one dimensional conservative cartoon. But I have to tell you, as much I as like Alan Alda and Hawkeye Pierce, it is very hard for me to root against him in this election.

If you mean the general election, I believe we'll be waiting more than a few weeks. I understand the actual election won't be until February sweeps.

It probably was, and if so, it was a nice touch (attempting to make the audience wonder if Alan Alda was trying to remember his line).
