I should add: Ainsley!
Yay Josh/Donna and CJ/Danny.
OK, based on the previews, maybe I was wrong about Sam as VP. Maybe. I was just remembering Bartlet's comments about Sam one day being in the White House. And I figured a Democratic House would approve it.
I really wanted some type of resolution to the whole conundrum about Donna staying at CJs and what that meant to the evening's plans for our favorite couples. Didn't you think that Josh and Danny would work it out when they sat down together?
Great to see Ainsley again.
Still waiting to see how the writers will handle the return of Sam. Did he win the election? If so, how? Of course, my biggest fear will be that they handle it the same way they did his leaving, but saying nothing.
I was happy to see Amy Gardner finally get called out by someone better than her for her smarmy attitude. I've never liked her, and the way Santos handled her was brilliant. Maybe he didn't totally shut her down, but she at least tacked a "sir" on to the end of her next question to him! But, giving her a job in the West Wing...man, maybe it IS good that the show is being cancelled, so I won't have to see her. Wait, what am I SAYING??
Ed Watson: Great to see Ainsley again.
I thought so, too, but I don't like the way they're shoehorning all the alums in at the last second, giving each a few seconds of screen time. In some cases (like Ainsley's), it makes us mad that we didn't get to see her more. In others (like Bingo Bob's), the question is "Why did they bother?" They could have cut Russell's absolutely pointless scene with Will out completely and given us thirty seconds more with Ainsley. Oh well....I feel like, in the last half-season, someone has switched writers on us, and not really for the better.
Well, We all know that Previews Always Lie, but...
SPOILER (highlight as usual):
It seems from the preview that Sam gets offered Josh's old job -- deputy Chief of Staff).
Jesse, I completely agree. The scene with Will and the VP was beyond pointless. If course, I wouldn't care what Ainsley's scene was about.
