Anyone want to predict how this show will do. Andromeda is one of the shows that Gene Roddenberry created. Even though it has gone through some changes in pre productin stage it is still his brain child.
A crew goes through a black hole and wind up find hundred years in the future to find that their Federation like government has fallen and the systems are in chaos. They try to restore order to the systems.
The shows premise sounds good and I hope it does well.

I _hope_ the series lives up to everyone's expectations.

syndicated it is hard to tell where it will air.

Also it will be interesting to see Sorbo step out
of his Hercules persona.

Actually just the captain (as played by Kevin) ends up suffering the effects of time-dilation for THREE hundred years by doing a high-speed hyperbolic slingshot AROUND the black hole - however, that is essentailly the premise, and yes - having watched a few episodes - it looks quite good fun.

I really like this show... I really do, but has anyone else wanted to call farscape and tell them to get their charecters back?? I mean I guess they were created before farscape but...whatever. Here's what I mean:

Dylan Hunt: A not quite as cool version of John Crichton. Living with a crew from a different time (or place)...

Tyr Anasazi: Hey Anasazi! Like X files! I never saw that before anyway, I think he just is a one dimensional version of dargo, right down to the dreads!

Beka Valentine: A not as pissed of version of Aeryn

Andromeda: Hello! Living ship! Sound familier? I guess the android and holographic versions of her are kind of pilot-ish

Trance Gemini: Chiana without being greedy or *itchy at times

Harper: I'm having a little trouble with this one. I'm thinking a non-greedy Rygel (but without greed who is rygel??) but I'm really not sure.

Rev Bem: Looks like rygel, acts like Zhaan.

I really do like this show, I just think this is funny!

Why do the Andromeda episodes get far fewer nits than Trek episodes here? Are the Andromeda episodes that much better, or do you not care, or are you so busy nitpicking Trek that you don't have time to nitpick Andromeda, too? I'm not criticizing.
I haven't been watching Andromeda as much because the local stations don't show it at the same times each weekend and if I don't find it in the listings, I forget about it.

I'd guess that more people watch Andromeda than watch Star Trek. Also, while all shows are fair game, there is a long tradition behind nitpicking ST that isn't established for any other show.

I'm just as glad that A isn't as nitpicked--I've given up trying to keep up with the ST nits--the pages take too long to load (At least on my very functional but not new computer).

It was doing well for awhile. But now in May 2003 I am not so sure.
