Uncle Sid returns.

Uncle Sid certainly had an interesting way of getting his opponents out of the way.Pay to have himself almost killed and then have his Vengeance Fund activated so bounty hunters eager to get a big pay day would do the rest.

Too bad though about Becca finding out her father wasn't the man she thought he was.

I'm seriously debating whether I should admit that I even watched this episode. Okay, it was only for John Delancey.

But yet again, we see that the quality of the writing has not improved. Well, maybe the editing of the show was more at fault, it's hard to tell.

It reminds me of the ST:TOS episode "I, Mudd" where in order to confuse the androids, Kirk tells them that everything Mudd says is a lie. Then Mudd says "I'm lying."

So if everything Sid says is a lie, but Sid says he is lying, then he is telling the truth, but it is a lie, but if he is lying then he is telling the truth, but, but...

When dicotomies like this are presented, in order to work well, you should be able to clearly argue one way or the other. "Ah, but if he really didn't order the hits on himself..." That whole aspect of the show was clearly muddied. I can't tell you who did what to whom with any degree of certainty.

So how is it that Sid can be in a coma one second and strolling the decks of the ship unescorted the next? How is that Beka never once over the years changed the codes on the Maru? I have to change my password at work every three months! And just where the heck did Andromeda go when the Maru took off that suddenly it was 20 minutes away when the Maru was attacked, and just as suddenly the intruders had boarded the ship?

And what a horrible scene of Beka and Sid defending the Maru. Cheezy is the word that comes to mind.

And Andromeda is in command of the fleet? I just don't understand how this can be possible. They are never anywhere near any other (friendly) commonwealth ship! They should name it the flag ship, like the Enterprise was. Didn't have to be with all the other ships. But "fleet" command. Where's the fleet?

Another disappointment.

I missed the first 20 minutes or so. Did they explain what the heck the title means?

All that trouble to break into Rogats' office, then we see that the killers could have killed Rogat by flying a ship low & blowing up his office. Sheesh!

Also by blowing up the office, & the body, wouldn't that destroy any proof that these guys killed Rogat & not Tyr?

From what? Or is that what CUI Bono means?

By ScottN on Tuesday, November 05, 2002 - 9:51 am:

I believe that's what Cui Bono means.

OK, thanks.
