Wow... So I've seen this episode before most of the rest of America just because I downloaded it!? Jeez.

Beka recieves a distress call from her Uncle Sid and finds out much to her disdain that her uncle has become Sam Profit a business tycoon.

Beka recieves a three year old distress call from her Uncle Sid (not biological) and rushes to find him only to discover that he is a tycoon named Sam Profit. Sid questions Beka about some files that her father may have left aboard the Maru and Sid believes that she is hiding them from him. We later discover that Sid killed several men after a drug deal went wrong and Beka's father had been blackmailing him and he believed Beka wanted to the same.

They call a place Cygna Gamma I. The correct designation would be Gamma Cygni I. Gamma Cygni is an F8 Ib star about 750 light years from Earth. F8 means it is hotter than our sun, Ib means it is a Supergiant. Unlikely to have an Earthlike planet & I would wonder why some kind of settlement might exist around it that traders would want to visit.

I am a little bit confused. If the Andromeda is 300 years in their future, why do they keep running into people that they know? Shouldn't Sid have been dead for almost 300 years? Am I missing something?

Dylan and Andromeda came from 300 years in the past. Beka and the crew did not travel through time.
