I Will Remember You

Nitcentral's Bulletin Brash Reflections: Angel: Season One: I Will Remember You
Buffy's in town. Angel turns human. You do the math.

Ruminations
Angel certainly got the better part of the crossover! I haven't adjusted my sitting position so much since watching Bound. (You men know what I mean. . . .) The whole "Who will die?" ties in nicely with the events of the next episode.

But...the Oracles are a little dorky. Silver spray paint and semi-enigmatic lines do not a mystical being make. Maybe they'll grow on me.

After destroying the Gem of Amara, Angel here continues his adventures in not keeping things around. When he destroyed the demon the second time, I'm thinking, "Get some blood for later!"

To which Buffy moderator Amanda Sinclaire had this to say:

Yeah! Blood for later! I never thouht of that, that's apretty good idea. And I didn't really
like the male Oracle--the snobQ!

Okay, so Cordelia is the whole expert on Buffy & Angel?
She tells Doyle these things like she knows from experience, but it didn't seem like she was describing things right.
Describing Angel's mood after seeing Buffy & knowing that it must have cut deep. When did this happen before?
Also the whole they meet, they fight stuff.
I think the only thing Cordy got right was when they get groiny bad things happen. Because last time Angel turned evil.
However the other things didn't sound quite right, and even if they did happen, Cordy was a little self-centered then to have noticed these things.
I suppose we could just chalk it up to Cordy thinks she knows everything.

So Angel sends Cordy alone to a bar that demons regularly frequent?

I guess Cordy must have told Buffy that Angel became human. Buffy's standing in the light and she sees Angel. She watches as he walks into the light, but doesn't react like he's going to burst into flames.

Moira demons need lots of salt, but during the fight Angel distracts him by throwing salt into it's eyes. Not necesarily a nit, but I would think that if it needs lots of salt, it would probably have a higher tolerance for getting salt in it's eyes.

Mark: How would Angel get some blood for later? Stab the demon, ask him to hold still for awhile while Angel fills a jar with demon blood, then smash the crystal? When the crystal was smashed the demon faded away so he couldn't get the blood afterwards.

I bet The Initiative would love to get their hands on a Moira demon. Drain it's blood and the next time they catch a vamp, give it an injection, and no need to worry about implanting a bug in the vamp's head.

There is a simple, complete, elegant explanation for my comment:

I forgot the demon vanished.

I believe the Technical Term is 'Ooops.' ;-)

Though this episode brings up the whole vampires 'n' circulation question again. Apparently now they don't, otherwise Angel wouldn't make such a fuss about his heart beating...
Only in other episodes of either series, they must be moving their blood around *somehow*...
