I don't mean the characters. I mean the actual shows. Which is a better more quality show. I really find myself enjoying Angel a lot. I'm not sure if I like it more than Buffy, though.

I think Angel has finally grown into itself. I prefer whichever one is currently on, to tell the truth.

The first several episodes of Angel the rest of the cast beyond him was kind of wandering around the plot, giving exposition or revealing clues and then exiting, stage right. Now they've done a good job of building an ensemble.

I think the fact that Angel is only in its second year is a bit of a plus if you're just starting out, as there are fewer references to figure out. But the continuity of Buffy leads to interesting things, like using Xander's military knowledge from the Halloween he was turned into Soldier Guy.

I think they are different shows. Angel is much darker, with less of the comedy that seems to be everywhere in Buffy. While I personally like Buffy more, that may just be because I like Buffy more than just about any show nowadays.

I think the inclusion of Faith into Angel's storylines has really helped the show, and I hope we see more of her.

that TPTB look like they're more willing to allow
the supporting gang of Cordie,Wesley and Gunn
go along(at least for now)and have their own
separate "Scooby" adventures from the main plot
with Angel.

I think it really depends on your type of show. Angel is classified as a little darker, they use their humour in such a way as well ((Though there is room for the good old fashioned laughs!!)) While sometimes Buffy takes a turn towards that darker, her main branch is at a little less, simply because none of the characters really...well.....brood a lot>_>
