So why isn't Gunn wearing gloves while they are breaking into a house?
Well since they are going to be having Darla stay why not contact Willow & have her cast that old Gypsy curse on her? (Only this time cut the stup¡d 'lose your soul when you find happiness' clause, as that is nothing but trouble.)
Because that'd now be a network crossover that one or both networks might not be willing to do. Not yet, at least.
What got to me was Cordy being so stup¡d as to wanna help Darla and willing to be left alone with her, and Angel's being stup¡d enough to let her be left alone with Darla yeah, I know Lorne was the one who asked if she'd be ok and to call if she needed help).
Fred's sure recovering rather quickly from her Pylea ordeal, isn't she? No mention of the budding affair between her and Wesley, but I guess he's still feeling guilty about almost killing her last ep.
So Angel's unborn child also has a soul.
Cordie should know better than to say the word
food in front of a vampire.
Will we ever learn HOW Darla got in the family
way?(By that I mean how could two vampires have
a child)
Continuity:Cordie refers back to the first season
when she was impregnated by a demon.
The Host is fixing up his nightclub after the
damage done to it by Gunn's former associates,
he's also having an anti-human violence spell
added to the anti-demon violence spell.
Did Lindsay and Darla ever sleep together when she was human? I was hoping she got pregnant by him then and didn't find out she was in the family way until after Dru vamped her. It would explain ALOT - like how the child has a soul. Maybe she's just playing with Angel's mind.
No, they didn't. Lindsay wanted to, though.
But he hadn't met me, yet.
I thought maybe she was immpregnated when she was human and then when she became a vamp again it changed with her, becoming a vamp brat with a soul. At least that's all I could think of.
where's the next episdoe discussion???
How old is Angel? I've been watching the early Buffy's on FX lately, and I could have sworn that it was stated he was 241 in Season 1. So that means he's 247 now. Which means he was born in 1754. So how are we having these flashbacks to 1763 and Holtz. Is Angel 11 years old in those flashbacks???
Even more confusing, at buffyguide.com we get:
Angel the human was born in 1727 with the name Liam. Angel the vampire was "born" in 1753, making him 246 or 247 in vamp years (these are the dates given on Angel's tombstone in flashbacks of the Angel episode "The Prodigal").
Aside from the weird math (if he was born in 1727, and he's 246, that would mean we're now in 1973), this doesn't match up with my memory of the 241.
Some help here?

oops..sorry about the double post!
When they talk about age, is it years since his date of birth, or date of death and he's been a vampire for X amount of years?
Hi there.
I'm still mostly offline--Elroy the iMac has a cranky hard drive. I'll get the new episode discussions going by the end of the week, and move the appropriate messages there when they're done.
It was an...interesting episode.
Yes, very. However, I couldn't help but wonder how the gang were all able to just wheel in hospital equipment into that room without any interference. After all, they're not hospital staff and would arouse suspicion.
Nit for board: no thread for Lullaby!
Sorry. Tonight, I promise. Elroy the iMac is only recently repaired.
Just because I can:
Nit for Morgan: Promise not kept. Still no Lullaby board.
Nice try, though.
Just a note, Angelus was created in 1753 (BtVS, "The Becoming Part 1"), so if they're giving a figure in the 240's then they're talking about how long he's been a vampire.
Nit for Jenkins: why don't I just spend every waking moment online?

Actually, shouldn't his time in the hell dimension count too? would that make him several hundred years old?
[I will note at this point that I've only recently started watching Buffy and I'm only in the middle of season 3 (just saw "Homecoming" which deals with him just coming back form the hell dimension) (thank heavens for FX reruns :^). So if there's a major spoiler as to why Angel would NOT be several hundred years old, please post a spoiler warning up front and I'll respond in about a month from now when I'm all caught up? Thanks!]
They never seem to count all the time he spent in the Hell Dimension. It's kind of a gray area. Since Angel doesn't age and he wasn't technically moving forward in time, is he any older?
I don't know, it certainly looks like he's aged (oh about 4 or 5 years) since we first saw him though.
That sure is odd, isn't it? Maybe spending untold years in a hell dimension actually DOES age you a little bit.
I mean...what other explanation could there be?
Nit for Morgan, just to be annoying since you're sleeping and I'm not nearly cruel enough to dump my cup of ice water on you:
It takes what? Two seconds to throw up a new board? How the heck would it take you every waking moment to do that? Are you really that slow in figuring out the whiz that is Discus? Can you explain to me how it is that a reclusive genius with the IQ of Einstein on meth can figure out Conversant's brain twisting system that is supposed to be the administration system, but you cannot figure out the simple Discus system that my ten year old brother could figure out? That my ten year old brother's silly stuffed Barney could figure out? And sing his horrid "I love you" song at the same time?
I should stop. I'm sounding too much like the Page O' Flames...
Careful you two or someone is going to start a Mark and Machiko's Soap Opera board.
I mean didn't we learn anything from the mistake that was James and rachgd's Soap Opera?
Keith, darling, you would be wise to avoid creating such a board. Just remember that I'm a lot closer to Washington than I was...
Well, I wasn't planning to, but since you put that way...
Muhahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!
Re: Angel's age
In my view, Angel's lack of aging as a vampire doesn't have anything to do with what one would refer to as Angel's "age". "Aging" is just changes in one's cellular structure. One's "age" refers to how long one has been in existence. That said, there are still age issues with Angel because of his time in Hell, and also because Angel's age depends on what one means when one refers to "Angel", whose body was that of a young man who went by the name "Liam" in Ireland back in the late 1700s. Is the "Angel" reference to the physical body of Angel? Is the reference only to Angel's human soul? I don't know if the show has an official take on when souls are created. Are they eternal? Are they created at conception? Somewhere between conception and birth? Is the "Angel" reference to the demon inside Angel's body? Did that demon exist before it moved into Angel's body when Angel first became a vampire? Or is the reference to the being that holds both demon and human soul?
I think you may be sliding by the point. The show refers to Angel as having a certain age, we're just trying to figure out what they meant by that.
Umm, does this remind anyone of Blade?
Vampires do change with increasing age. That's why the Master and Kakitos (sp?) have taken on animal like appearances, as stated by Joss Whedon.
Also, can someone move the Lullaby references to the correct board, thanks.
Yes, vampires do change when they've grown very old -- and it seems to be indicated that this change is slow. Angel appears to be aging like a normal human, which is contrary to the established mythology of vampires.
Isn't Angel striving for his humanity? Maybe being able to father a child and age is his reward and incentive to keep up the good fight.
Angel's becoming human.
