Season Finale.

By Richie Vest on Monday, May 05, 2003 - 12:39 pm:

Let's hope it will not become the series finale

By Keith Alan Morgan (Kmorgan) on Thursday, May 08, 2003 - 5:01 am:

Be interesting to see what they'll do if it is renewed.

At the end Fred asks who Connor is, as if her, and everyone else's, memory has been erased. These would seem to cause some serious problems. Do they remember Darla being pregnant? Why does Wesley think he moved out of the hotel and formed his own demon hunting group? Not to mention various other memories that would involve Connor & have to be erased or rewritten.

By Richie Vest on Thursday, May 08, 2003 - 6:14 am:

I thought she said where's Connor

By Kai on Thursday, May 08, 2003 - 9:21 am:

I'm pretty sure I heard her say "Who's Connor?"

By Scott McClenny on Thursday, May 08, 2003 - 9:39 am:

I think the deal Angel finally made with Wolfram & Hart was as follows:
1.W & H help find a cure for Cordie.
2.W & H erase Connor and everyone else's memories,except his,of the past.
3.Connor be given a real family and his memories
realigned to fit that new family.

Great Lines:
Gunn:We're NOT Lawyers
Fred:And we're NOT Evil..at least not now!

Wesley:There's always something about Watchers and
Libraries.(Was he thinking about Giles when he said that?)

Lorne(after the tour):Who would've guessed it..
Siegfrid EVIL...Roy,not so evil.

And finally some Possible Predictions regarding Season 5 based on Rumors and from what we learned in yesterday's Season 4 finale:

1.Willow will be hired by Angel to run the Occult end of things at W & H(based on rumor that Alyson
Hannigan MIGHT be brought over to join the cast now that Buffy's finished production).

2.Stephanie Romanov will become a regular as Lila
becomes Angel's liasion with The Senior Partners.

3.Cordie will come out of her coma and will at first resent working with W & H but later will, reluctantly, accept her new position as Chief Office Manager and Angel's Private Secretary.

4.Angel Investigations using W & H resources will now be able to investigate the higher level Vampiric and Demonic activity in L.A. and Southern California and will on occasion be hired to help out higher echelon vampires and demons who find themselves in need of their help.

Like I said these are POSSIBLE PREDICTIONS of what
MIGHT HAPPEN next season.I'm probably 75% to 80%
totally off base here and probably none of my predictions will come true, except for the one about Willow joining the cast as that rumor seems to be floating around.

But regardless Season 5 will be rather interesting to see what in fact DOES happen.;)

Another interesting rumor, check this out:

WARNING, POSSIBLE SPOILERS IN ARTICLE

This article contains the rumor that I wrote about in the Is Season 5 Coming? section.

By Josh M on Thursday, May 08, 2003 - 1:32 pm:

Connor's story is like the opposite of Dawn. Dawn suddenly appears and everyone who shouldn't know her does. Connor more or less suddenly appears and now everyone who should remember him doesn't. Interesting.

Anybody recognize the scientist that showed Fred around? I half expected him to vamp out on Fred.

By Doug B. on Friday, May 09, 2003 - 6:07 pm:

Wow. Is Joss actually gonna give someone a happy ending?

I'm shocked.

The difference is that Connor's existence has served as a catalyst for virtually everything that happened this season (and even last season). Dawn could be inserted into the world because she didn't do anything to affect existing events. But Connor's existence did have an effect...

If Connor never existed, what did the Angel gang do to inherit W+H? Did Jasmine exist? And if so, who killed her? And if she didn't, why is Cordie in a coma? Is Darla dead? Was she ever pregnant? Is Lilah dead? Did Wesley and Lilah have a relationship? Does Karotos still exist? Etc...

By Matthew Patterson (Mpatterson) on Monday, May 12, 2003 - 4:37 pm:

I don't think it's that Connor never existed; I think rather it's that everyone's memories have been altered to exclude him. In this respect, it's exactly like Dawn's situation. Everything prior to Buffy season 5 really *did* happen the way we saw it, but nobody remembers it because of the spell. Same with Connor.

(It's "Caritas," by the way.)

By Darth Sarcasm on Monday, May 12, 2003 - 5:28 pm:

Again, Connor was the catalyst for much of the events in the last two seasons...

So if those events did happen, but they just don't remember Connor being involved in them, then what are their memories?

Wesley wound up in a relationship with Lilah after being shunned by the Angel gang for kidnapping Angel's son... if Connor did not exist (in Wesley's perceptions), then what did he do to tick Angel off so much? If Cordie is still in a coma for giving birth to Jasmine, then who does the Angel gang think impregnated her?

Aside from her existence, Dawn never (as far as we know) played a part in any of the events prior to her appearance in Season 5. So her insertion is a little easier to swallow than Connor's erasure.

By Josh M on Wednesday, May 14, 2003 - 2:55 pm:

The folks at tvtome.com have a theory that W&H may have made an entirely alternate reality, much like Anya did in The Wish. If this is the case, it's possible that Seasons 3 and 4 went much differently than we saw. At least it would in the memories of Angel's associates.

By Josh M on Wednesday, May 14, 2003 - 2:56 pm:

And maybe Willow.

By MythicFox on Monday, May 26, 2003 - 2:53 am:

I have the feeling that next season we'll find out just how altered everyone's memories are. We'll find out if there are just gaps, or if events have been altered in everyone's minds (Maybe it was Angel who impregnated Cordie in the 'revised history'?).

But from what I understand, in the Buffy comic book (an issue written by Joss Whedon, I don't know how official it is), the alternate reality where Buffy's in an insane asylum is a reality where Dawn actually did have an impact in the Scoobies' history. It was a world where Dawn read Buffy's diary shortly after Buffy was Called, and told her parents. Their reaction led to the nuthouse-Buffy. So Dawn should have had an effect on the world, but the spell that altered everyone's memories glossed that over.

What I'm wondering is what happened to Gunn... he goes to see some being in that hidden room, and he obviously comes back different (Fred notices instantly, asking him if he's suddenly gotten taller). Is Gunn going to be the next threat Angel Investigations has to face? I mean, remember what happened last time someone on this show wound up with an infusion of power from a supernatural creature...

By the way, I heard somewhere that Charisma Carpenter had said previously that she's not coming back next season. Cordie's pregnancy was partially written to cover up/deal with Charisma's real-life pregnancy.

By Matt Pesti on Sunday, June 15, 2003 - 3:46 pm:

From what I hear, it's going to be the Giles situation. CC spends most of the time with her kids, shows up for a few episodes around sweeps.

By Callie on Thursday, October 14, 2004 - 6:03 am:

Maybe it’s all explained in Season 5, but I couldn’t see the point of wiping everyone’s memory of Connor. Wouldn’t it have been a million times easier to just erase Connor’s memories, and then explain to the team what had happened to him? It’s not as if they’d have gone charging off to see him in his new home.

By Beafy on Saturday, April 09, 2005 - 8:41 am:

Nits:
In the close-up shot of the book the ex-watcher shows Wesley, the signs are on the right side. When Wesley puts the book away, they are on the left side.

At the end when we see Angel's limo on its way to Connor, it first drives on the right side, then on the left. I wonder how that happened... Did Joss et al flip the picture horizontally during post?

(Actually, those two nits are quite similar :-) )
