The Cautionary Tale of Numero Cinco

Nitcentral's Bulletin Brash Reflections: Angel: Season Five: The Cautionary Tale of Numero Cinco
By Keith Alan Morgan on Thursday, November 06, 2003 - 1:26 am:

Despite the obvious lack of effect, Wesley keeps shooting at the demon's body, why not try a face shot to see if that might work?

I wonder if Wesley will look up prophecies involving fathers devouring sons to figure out what Angel was talking about?

Wesley has his team researching Maya & Aztec mythology to find out what kind of demon they are looking for, but shouldn't he have some people searching the other bits of information they have as well? Like demons that cut out people's hearts?

You know something this is occured to me last night. In many ways, Angel did "kill" Connor. To Wes and the rest of the world there was no Connor. So in a werid way he is dead because of Angel

Angel must have been really depressed to have forgotten that he was the only one who remembers
who Connor is or for that matter that Connor even
existed.

The writers must have been watching Voyager reruns when they wrote this ep. since in it
Numero Cinco relates to Angel how he and his brothers were able to destroy Satan's Robot.

One of the funniest moments of the ep.comes when
Wes wonders how Spike got the front seat and
Spike says something on the lines of having called
"shotgun" and Wes then holds up a shotgun as he took it quite literally!:)

I'm not an expert on Mexican Wrestling films (heck, I'm amazed there is such a genre) but I believe several such films featured robots. Long before Voyager.

When this season began and the mailman was sometimes seen as a background character I not only recognized the Mexican wrestler mask but also figured that sooner or later he'd be part of some story sooner or later.

Re:Number 5
"But does he Still follow "The Code Of Masked Wrestling", I ask myself...?
BTW what's his "specisl move"...?

Yeah, I liked the whole "The Devil has built a robot" and Wes knew about, with his utterly serious response, "Robottico Diablo." We should have gotten to meet the Devil on Angel the same way we met Dracula on Buffy. Get Leonard Nimoy to wear a Twilight Zone Style black cape and horns and put him in one of Angel's countless historical flashbacks. Good times.
