Slammin' Sammy's Stunt Show Spectacular

Devon meets with Michael about his next Mission, with involves a car-stunt show. A man named Laurence Blake has been taking out mortgages on the show's property, but is planning to sabotage the show so that he can sell the property for a profit. Sammy Phillips, owner of the show, is injured while performing his finale, which sets the show up for a fall. Michael arrives, and with KITT's help, wows Sammy enough to get in the show. Blake gets wind of this development and sends one of his men to set a bomb in the stands, and has already planted a man as one of Sammy's stunt drivers. Blake also has his man give an offer to Michael, which Michael rejects because he wants to see Blake in person. The inside man has been sabotaging the stunt cars, but since he can't sabotage KITT, he slips a sleeping pill into Michael's drink. KITT neutralizes the pill's effects with some oxygen, and performs the finale successfully. Michael and KITT also stop the inside man as well as the bomb and Blake's contact. Later, Michael walks into Blake's office and asks what it will take to get onto Blake's payroll, and Blake tells Michael to sabotage the show. Michael, however, has been recording the entire conversation with his watch communicator and KITT, and takes Blake away. As the episode ends, Michael and KITT get ready to return to the show for the next three weeks, until Sammy heals up.

THOUGHTS:
-For some reason, this seemed like a short show to me. I kept expecting Blake's men to ambush Michael at the end, but I guess Blake only has a small operation.

-Fun moments as KITT turbo boosts away from the cop at the beginning, Mario tries to sabotage KITT but can't, the announcer calls Michael's car "Cat," and Michael has some flirty fun with Bonnie. And...nice stars!

-Star Trek actor watch: Marc Alaimo (as Bill Gordon) played Gul Dukat on DS9.

-New features on KITT:
+KITT can oxygenate the interior (which proved useful in this episode)
+KITT now has 25% more booster thrust
+Can scan without making the noise (apparently)
+Automatic tire deflation/inflation
+Ability to record conversations from Michael's watch onto a tape recorder

FAVORITE QUOTE:
(KITT wonders why all the "garishness" of wearing stars is necessary)
Michael: "Look, KITT, you either wear the stars or you get painted red white and blue like all the other stunt cars."
KITT: "...Keep pasting, Michael."

NITS:
-Just after Sammy gets injured, the quote "My leg, leg!" is dubbed twice in a row.

-Both times KITT performs the "jump over two moving vehicles" finale, at the end there is a shot with the bumper heading directly for the ground (with KITT up at a 45-degree angle) yet KITT still lands smoothly.

-KITT activated the red sensor light and took scans as Mario tried to sabotage the car, but the sound effect is (apparently) missing.

-I know KITT has to obey Michael's wishes, but when Michael starts to phase out why does KITT have to ask to have the auto turned on? Why doresn't KITT just do it automatically?

-Such a coincidence as Bonnie added KITT's oxygenation ability and Michael just happened to need it later. Also, how does oxygen really help if you swallowed a sleeping pill?

-Even with KITT's rear area covering it, shouldn't the bomb have done a lot more damage to the stands?
