Inside Out

After a fight inside of KITT, Michael locks up a man named Dougan in a specially-designed trailer. Dougan is a mercenary for hire whose specialty is driving cars in heist jobs. Since Dougan was on his way to a meeting with a retired colonel named Kinkade (who is suspected to have headed several large heists), Michael takes Dougan's place. Michael sneaks around with the help of fellow mercenary Ellie (who is only working for Kinkade due to blackmail - her father made dirty money and was kept out of jail due to her testimony, and Kinkade will tell the judge about her lies unless she helps him) and finds out that the mercs are planning on a prison breakout. In actuality, the mercs are about to do a job where they steal a shipment of gold from a convoy. Michael does the job and everything goes smoothly until Dougan comes forward (having broken out of the trailer) and identifies Michael. With Ellie and KITT's help, Michael stops the mercs before they get away, and deliver them to the authorities at the nearby prison. Devon congradulates Michael on finding out the real plan.

THOUGHTS:
-Average episode. Some nice shots of KITT riding just behind the trailer's bumber.

-New feature on KITT:
+Bonnie installs an electrical jamming device (range is 50 yards)

FAVORITE QUOTE:
"Sometimes I wonder whether there's a real woman inside that jumpsuit, or just a robot..."
(Michael, about Bonnie. KITT's scanning of Bonnie afterwards is pretty funny!)

NITS:
-How did Dougan get into KITT in the first place?

-KITT doesn't look to be doing 225mph at the beginning of the show.

-The first shot of Kinkade's villa is actually a shot of Wilton Knight's estate from "Knight of the Phoenix."

-Dougan escapes using the gas from the portable stove, yet the pipes aren't even close to the outlet and they still capture the gas. Also, when he lights the lantern it's totally bright and in the next shot the flame is much smaller.

-Kinkade makes Michael jump the ramps with KITT, but the actual heist doesn't include any jumps. Also, Kinkade makes Ellie do some stuff on a balance beam and she only has to hold onto the back of a truck.

-When Ellie gets into trouble during the convoy heist, Michael hits KITT's auto button, yet the norm light still stays on.

-Shouldn't the guys in the main convoy truck notice that the "back door" jeep disappears for a while? And what about KITT driving along the sides?

-When KITT comes to the rescue at the end of the episode, the goons on the right hit the ground even though KITT isn't close to them.

-Did it seem like a small amount of gold for that large of a truck? And is that much really worth $12 million?

-Where is the gold at the end?

Why would Devon allow fuel for the stove in the trailer/holding cell?
