Nitcentral's Bulletin Brash Reflections: Knight Rider: Season 1: Knight Moves
Knight Moves

After an alliance of independent truckers is hijacked several times, Michael comes on the case. The stolen cargo included sensitive microchips to be delivered to Microtech, a computer company. Gil Riggins, a warehouse owner who distributes the computer chips to the truckers, offers to buy them out if they want. Sam Volker, a wealthy businessman looking for another deal on downtrodden workers, also makes an offer. Rick Calley and his sister Terri are two of the truckers who have been hijacked, and Rick has even been shot. Terri's next shipment is hijacked, and even she starts to lose faith that something will help the truckers. Michael calls Devon, and Devon arrives with Bonnie and the FLAG semi. Devon poses as another dealer. If one shipment can be made without being hijacked, he will contract the truckers himself.Volker doesn't have time to make a counteroffer, as his car is blown up that night. Terri volunteers for Devon's deal, and she drives the FLAG semi with Michael next to her and KITT inside. When the hijackers come, Michael and KITT run them off the road, and they implicate Riggins. Riggins tries to get away, but Michael and KITT stop him. Riggins just wanted the full warehouse and shipping rights for himself, and he's the one who killed Volker.

THOUGHTS:
-Okay episode, not very exciting (especially some unneccessary dialogue, *ahem* the waitress) but okay.

-Fun with Devon and the pizza/sloppy joe's!

-Star Trek actor watch: Morgan Woodward (as Sheriff Winston) played Dr. Simon Van Gelder in "Dagger of the Mind" (TOS).

New feature on KITT:
+Long-range tracing scope (in this ep, used to monitor all trucks with CB radio).

FAVORITE QUOTE:
(Devon and Michael are talking about the FLAG semi):
Devon: "Do be careful, Michael. This semi is worth a king's ransom."
Michael: "Or a knight's salary..."

NITS:
-KITT sparks on both the rear and front bumpers when exiting the FLAG semi.

-You can see the black nodules on KITT used to simulate bullet richchets when the two hijackers fire on KITT.

-Apparently Riggins' van was made of cardboard!

-For some reason there are water spots on KITT's passenger window at the end of the episode.
