On the way to test KITT's new "amphibious mode" (hydroplaning), Michael finds a deep-sea diver unconscious on the beach. The man's name is Bobby Shell, and his sister, Jenny, agrees to help Michael find out what happened with her brother. Bobby found out that a group with a fake "reseeding" contract has actually been looting an ancient Aztec treasure cove hidden beneath the surface, and Bobby took some of the treasure for himself. With Bobby's life in danger, his sister finds an ancient and very valuable statue in his locker at home. Unfortunately, she is kidnapped and the statue taken by the man who was to take it in the first place - Zachary Slote, the man behind the fake reseeding company. Michael has no choice but to test KITT's hydroplaning ability in order to rescue Jenny and stop Slote for good.
THOUGHTS:
-Okay episode. I liked the usual interplay between Michael and KITT ("Arr, matie") and the interplay between April and Michael throughout the show. BTW, April in that outfit at the end of the show? Wow.
New features on KITT:
+Can't remember for sure, but I think this is the first episode with KITT auto-opening the trunk and doors.
+Spectographic analyzer with printout of information.
+Amphibious Mode (hydroplaning, as in "driving on water").
+Auto-control of a boat!

NITS:
-On the first turbo boost, KITT has the usual car parts on the bottom! Yeah! The only problem is on the second turbo boost (the one into the water), KITT is once again flat on the bottom.
-The shot of KITT driving past the white fence comes from "Just My Bill" (actually, it's used a lot during the series).
-When Michael flips the guy off the boat, KITT is missing from the side of the boat. Many of the shots of the boat should at least show the top of KITT, but you can't see it.
