While driving a wealthy friend's car, Devon is hit by a woman who steals the car after Devon looks for her insurance information in her car's glove compartment. Several classic cars have been stolen recently, all near to car shows in the area. At the next car show, Michael witnesses the theft of Carrie Hunt's car, and he and Carrie decide to work together to find out who the culprit is. Michael suspects the owner to be the thief, but she isn't. Michael uses KITT as bait and enters the car into the show. Two bumbling janitors try to steal KITT, but Michael knows they aren't good enough to be the real thieves. Eventually, KITT is hit on the road by the same woman who hit Devon earlier - Nora Rayburn, wife of Buck Rayburn, another entrant in the car show. KITT is stolen, but Michael and Carrie track Nora back to a garage, where the duo overtake the thieves and get both KITT and Carrie's car back. Carrie wins the car show, Devon tries to think of an explanation for his friend about the damage to his car's rear fender, and KITT is only given and "honorable mention" sticker.
THOUGHTS: -Fun show! Some of it was real "filler" material (the first scene with the janitors talking about the woman, etc) though.
-This episode has the shortest teaser so far in the series (7 minutes, they usually run 15).
Fun stuff: -KITT taking the janitors for a ride. -Devon stalling Cmdr. Smile. -Buck Rayburn just sitting there after KITT turbo boosts over his "longhorn" limosine. -Michael and Carrie getting oil on themselves and KITT refusing to let them in.
-I liked the fact that during all the turbo boosts in the episode, KITT was NOT flat on the bottom!

NITS: -How does KITT get pictures off the side of the train and off to the rear of Carrie's car?
-The shot of Michael turning KITT around after jumping the train comes from a season 1 episode (I can't remember which).
-When KITT drives to the rear of the garage, you can see a brown lump behind KITT's driver seat (probably a blanket used to cover the stunt driver).
-Three times in this episode, KITT's start-up sequence comes from the first season (you can tell because KITT's voicemod is blank red rather than blank black).
-When KITT lets the janitors in to take them on a ride, the shot shows KITT switching gears from D to R, even though KITT is parked in the lot and should be on P to start with.
-For some reason in several shots during this episode, KITT's pop-up lights are up, even though it's bright daylight outside.
-When Michael tackles the guy in the warehouse, you can see that all the boxes behind them are empty.
