Lauren Janes, a model working for Bernie Michels, calls Devon in distress. Lauren's model friend Rachel Robinson has been found dead in her apartment, apparently a suicide, but Lauren doesn't believe Rachel would take her own life. Michael poses as Lauren's boyfriend and finds out that the thief was probbaly looking for Rachel's diamond accessories, which were actually glass fakes, created by Bernie himself. Strangely enough, Michael finds the glass fakes in a safe at one of Bernie's parties. Michael and Devon believe that Bernie has been traveling out of the USA in order to smuggle fake diamonds into the US and pass them off as real. Bernie then exchanges the fake diamonds for money put into offshore accounts. Lauren has been taken to Mexico on a photo shoot, and Michael follows. When Lauren leaves Mexico to come back to the USA, she passes through customs quicky but Bernie kidnaps her when she refuses to give up her newly-acquired (fake) jewels. Michael has KITT do an electronic bank transfer to wipe out Bernie's money. Lauren and Michael then work together to take out Bernie and his associates. As the episode ends, Lauren moves and gets a job at another modeling agency.
