White-Line Warriors

Marietta Matinson calls Devon about a recent string of thefts in Vista Beach, including one involving her own shop. Marietta's niece, Cindy, is involved with a man named Ron Prescott, one of the drag-racers who has been racing on the same nights that the burglaries have taken place. When Michael attends one of the races, Ron is not there but the cops put out a warrant for his arrest anyway. Meanwhile, the chief of police, Craig, gives Michael warnings (he suspects Michael of being involved in the robberies). Ron phones Cindy, wanting to meet Michael on a cliffside. Michael is nearly killed when someone throws dynamite at him, but Ron tells Michael he is innocent. With Ron safely in the FLAG semi, Michael challenges the racers to a race that night. Michael doesn't show, but a burglary takes place nonetheless. It turns out that the same song has been played over the local radio station every night a burglary has taken place, and roughly the same time the cops have approached the racers every night. Michael heads to the station and learns that Craig, the radio dj and the deputy have all been the ones behind the thefts, not the racers. With the conversations recorded, Michael has KITT play the "confessions" over the airwaves and Ron is cleared of all charges.

THOUGHTS:
-Good show, although "silent mode" wasn't very exciting!

-Fun stuff with car-alarm salesman Manny Carmichaels!

New features on KITT:
+Silent Mode (makes the engine quiet).
+Forward grappling arm (although Michael only calls it a "grappling hook").

FAVORITE QUOTE:
"Rumor has it that the radio station wants to hire KITT as a full time dj..."
-Devon

NITS:
-KITT is flat on the turbo boost over the drag-racing cars.

-The second time Manny tries to break into KITT, KITT switches gears to drive but then KITT backs out of the parking space.

-When Michael asks KITT if they were followed to the cliff, as KITT replies "No, Michael," KITT's voicemod doesn't light up.

-When KITT drives over to Michael towards the end of the show, you can see the brown cloth covering the guy behind KITT's driver seat. Also, in the close ups of the seat, you can see the guy's eyes!

-Michael calls KITT's grappling arm a "grappling hook."
