Goliath Returns
While Michael escorts an expert in laser technology (Klaus Bergstrom) around town, Garth escapes from prison - due to Goliath's assistance. Adrian Margot (see "Soul Survivor") has paid off the judge who was to send her to prison and rebuilt the super-powered semi so that now it has no weak spots. Adrian plans to work together with Garth to capture Michael, but Gath wants him dead. Garth breaks into Foundation headquarters and kidnaps Devon and April to use as bait for Michael, while Adrian has changed an anoymous man's face to look exactly like that of Bergstrom - and what's more, the double has most of Bergstrom's memories as well. On the way to save Devon and April, KITT is trapped in quicksand but manages to escape and track down Goliath. Michael swerves to avoid a collision with the gigantic semi, but ends up sending KITT over a cliff instead. KITT lands gently with aid of a built-in parachute, but Michael is taken captive by Adrian's men once KITT lands.
THOUGHTS:
-Very nice episode, good pacing, although the ending was a little weak (see below).
-Star Trek actor watch: Peter Mark Richman (as Dr. Klaus Bergstrom) played Offenhouse in "The Neutral Zone" (TNG).

-Adrian Margot is called "Adrian St. Clair" in the credits.
-Once Garth dons the moustache it still looks fake.
-Why couldn't KITT detect the quicksand before driving into it?
-KITT gets a camera angle of Goliath from off the road (on the ground) even though KITT is supposed to be moving towards Goliath. It looks like the shot is actually from "Goliath."
-KITT is flat on the bottom during the descent down the cliffside.
-Why couldn't KITT retract the parachute himself?

At one point Adrian tells Garth that the impostor
knows everything Bergstrom knows except whatever
has happened to Bergstrom in the last 24 hours.
This is pretty much a weak part of their plan as
revealed when Bergstrom's niece notices he,the
impostor,isn't limping.(Not a nit really,just thought it was interesting to point out.)
For a Foundation that is based on the study of
law and government it certainly has rather lax
security.We only see the one security guard.
