Mouth of the Snake

Nitcentral's Bulletin Brash Reflections: Knight Rider: Season 2: Mouth of the Snake
Mouth of the Snake

After a photographer tracks a group of smugglers trafficing Mexicans across to the US and is murdered and framed as the smuggler himself, his wife asks the Foundation for help. Joanna St. Johns wants to help with the investigation any way she can, and she shows Michael a piece of pottery her husband was holding - a piece which has traces of gold in it. A man jumps Michael in Joanna's apartment but escapes when Michael and KITT try to catch him. That night, Michael finds evidence that the pottery and clay statues have been used to smuggle gold into the US after the delivery of rockets under one Eduardo O'Brien. Michael is caught while escaping from the truck, but the same man who jumped him earlier saves his life. The man's name is David Dalton, a freelancer who once worked with the Department of Justice. Eduardo O'Brien's associate, Elton Matthews, hosts a party that night and David accompanies Joanna as Michael and KITT track another truck. David steals some codes from MAtthews, possibly about an illegal arms trade in Boca Culebra (Mouth of the Snake), but the safe is located in O'Brien's yacht. David moves in with Joanna to protect his cover story, that he and Joanna are in love.

THOUGHTS:
-Okay part 1, although I was disappointed that Devon only appears for a minute and I don't think April appears at all!

FAVORITE QUOTE:
"Even Fort Knox opens with the right combination..."
-Joanna, referring about O'Brien's yacht safe. O'Brien has a fancy for her, and she intends to use that to her advantage...

NITS:
-For some reason every time David jumps there is a "6-Million Dollar Man" sound effect.

-I believe the same shot is used both times Michael drives and parks outside Joanna's apartment building.

-No security in O'Brien's warehouse when Michael and David sneak in!

-Fascinating how there just happens to be a trampoline right where David needed to jump up in O'Brien's backyard!

-Somehow David accesses O'Brien's secret codess just by pressing enter!
