Let It Be Me

Nitcentral's Bulletin Brash Reflections: Knight Rider: Season 2: Let It Be Me
Let It Be Me

When Greg Noble, lead singer of a popular rock band, is murdered, a bandmate calls the Foundation to ask for help. The bandmate is Stephanie Mason, (Stevie, see "White Bird") a woman once in love with Michael Long and was getting close to Noble. To investigate the murder, Michael replaces Noble in the band. Stevie recieves an old tape of Noble performing, but it has a secret code hidden in one of the shots. The tape is stolen, but that night Michael sneaks into the office of Barbara Billingham, the producer who holds all the master tapes, and steals the master tape. The next day's video shoot goes smoothly until the brakes cut out on the jeep Michael and Stevie are driving. KITT saves the pair, and Stevie confesses that she is still in love with Michael. KITT analyzes the tape's code and Devon and April find out that it is actually a time schedule for drug deals. That night, a concert is to be performed by Stevie's band, with a screen behind them with which Billingham plans to transmit the next tape's data. After the data is transmitted, Devon calls the Drug Enforcement Agency and Michael and KITT stop Billingham beforfe she gets away. Michael is willing to leave the Foundation to be with Stevie, but she declines his offer. It's time for them to say goodbye again.

THOUGHTS:
-Nice episode with good continuity. It was good to see Stevie again. The only problem I had with this episode is that it has too many songs, though I guess if "The A-Team" could have shows with lots of songs in them, so can KR.

FAVORITE QUOTE:
"I'll...see you in the supermarket."
-Stevie to Michael at the end of the episode. She previously told him how she dreamed she would see him again by chance, perhaps in a supermarket.

NITS:
-The first time KITT starts up, it's a shot from season 1.

-KITT is flat on the turbo boost over the jeep.

-The shot of KITT leaving the FLAG semi has been used several times before.

-When KITT views the performance towards the end of the episode, it is nighttime but the close-ups of KITT's hood reflect daylight (stock shots probably).

-When KITT drives up to corner Billingham's car, there is a reflection on the camera from KITT's headlights.
