Someone has been stealing equipment from Frank Sanderson's construction company. Sanderson believes it's his old business partner Lloyd Newell, who left the company accusing Sanderson of hoarding money. Michael meets Newell at his own construction company and finds freshly painted equipment, though this doesn't necessarily point to Newell's guilt since Newell himself says his own equipment has been stolen. More problems arise for Sanderson as his security man dies of a heart attack and as his wife, Lucy, has drifted apart due to Sanderson's lack of care. Using KITT's new analyzer system, Michael tracks stolen eqipment from both Sanderson and Newell's companies to a quarry hidden in the mountains. KITT is buried in tons of granite but Michael gets him out using a turbo boost. With new resolve, Michael gets Sanderson and Newell together to use a new piece of equipment as bait for the thief. While waiting for the thief to strike, Michael spies on Lucy, who is having an affair with an equipment seller named Vance Burke. Lucy points to Sanderson's lack of attention, but Michael convinces her that she's just being used by Burke to find out Sanderson's schedule. Michael has Lucy cancel her next meeting with Burke and his plan works - Burke tries to steal the equipment, and Sanderson and Newell work together with Michael and KITT to stop him. As the episode ends, Lucy and Frank Sanderson finally reconcile and try to have a fresh start.
THOUGHTS: -Solid show, though Burke's role wasn't fleshed out much.

-When KITT says, "understood" after being buried, his voicemod starts a bit later than his dialogue.
-I thought KITT already had a trajectory guide. He used it in "Blind Spot" to turbo boost out of the car compactor.
-For some reason the camera shakes when outside of the granite as KITT tries to turbo boost out (I can understand it shaking when in KITT, but above the granite?
-KITT is flat on the turbo boost out of the granite.
-Somehow KITT gets a camera angle of Devon from inside Newell's comapny even though he is parked on the other side, behind a wall!
-The same shot (with KITT driving, camera close to his hood) is used at least 3 times in this episode.
