After a financial backer of the Foundation dies, her diamond jewelry is auctioned off for charity. Just before the auction, however, a pair of thieves steal all the jewelry and make a getaway through a drain-pipe system nearby. Lyle and Charlie plan to have plastic surgery to change their identities, but Charlie turns on Lyle and takes his girlfriend, Jody Tompkins (the jewelry model) to Napa valley, an area in California famous for it's winemaking traditions. Michael finds Lyle nearby the place of deception with a ticket to Napa in his pocket, and has KITT trace the airport's database to find out that Charlie and Jody are heading to Napa as well. Charlie plans to have his surgery done there, where a doctor named Fellos operates his surgery profession inside of a monk winery by keeping one of the brothers there as a prisoner. On the way there, Michael and KITT help a pair of monks named Francis and Tyrone, who complain about the loss of their fellow brother, Juliano. Later, Michael rescues Jody from a man who overheard Charlie's conversation with Fellos and wanted the diamond payoff for himself. Judy tells Michael about the winery cover, so Michael poses as a man wanted for armed robbery and gets in. Michael rescues brother Juliano, but is almost put under the knife anyway before KITT comes to his rescue. Michael chases Charlie and gets the diamonds back. As the episode ends, brothers Francis, Tyrone and Juliano thank Michael for his bravery.
