Devon and Bonnie attend a special demonstration of a new automated weapons systen called "Ferret." After dropping the pair at Arkett Industries, the FLAG semi is hijacked by a group of bikers, and RC3 is knocked unconscious. After delivering RC3 to the hospital, Michael and KITT search for the semi. Meanwhile, Nicholas Arkett (son of Glen Arkett, head of Arkett Industries) joins his "girlfriend" Erica and the bikers. Nicholas starts playing around with the semi's computers, but Tomlinson (the head biker) has bigger things in mind - starting with a bank heist. After turning off the semi's homing device, Tomlinson has Nick stash the semi in a nearby garage. Michael approaches the garage, where a young woman and her father have been terrorized by the bikers, but the woman only misdirects Michael. Once Michael realizes he has been had, he turns KITT around and eventually finds a group of bikers stealing cash from a local bank. Although KITT is able to knock out one biker, Michael can't go after the rest (a grenade nearly kills innocent civilians before Michael can drive KITT over it). Michael uses KITT as a decoy at the diner and beats up Tomlinson, but Erica holds an open radio transmitter and the biker return. Michael is nearly killed by a fire, but KITT returns and saves him. The bikers are planning to hijack the Ferret weapons system, and Nick even reprograms it to approach the FLAG semi, but it instead targets the semi. The bikers and Erica bail out on Nick, but Michael has KITT give them all flats. Michael picks up Bonnie and together they reprogram the Ferret to target KITT instead, and after returning to Arkett Industries, Michael uses KITT's turbo boost to pilot the weapon into an empty shed. As the episode ends, RC3 resumes his duties as the FLAG semi driver.
THOUGHTS: -Somewhat slow episode until the last few minutes. Once the Ferret plot starts, the episode finally picks up a bit.
New feature on KITT: +Thermodynamic Generator (in this episode, it causes the bikers to get flats).
FAVORITE QUOTE: (RC3 joins Bonnie, Devon, Michael and KITT in the back of the semi and Devon suggests RC3 go back to driving after giving RC3 a Cubs jacket as a present) Michael: "We wouldn't want to be hijacked again and not know it!" Devon: "Heaven forbid." Michael: "You took the words right out of my mouth."
NITS: -Shouldn't the semi have some kind of warning when people jump onto it?
-When Nick transmits the semi signals to the bank, the sound effect used is the same as KITT's microlock.
-When Michael fights Tomlinson, it's an obvious stunt double that does the jumpkick!
-After KITT sprays the CO2 to help Michael, you can see the reflection of the camera truck on KITT's right side.
