As Bonnie and RC3 attend a magic show, Michael gets into contact with Max Henderson. Henderson, along with Devon and a man named Ian Browning, are the last shareholders in Curtis Fortunes, and they must award some expensive grants within the next few days. During the magic show, the magician, Austin Templeton, preforms an escape act and sneaks into Henderson's hotel room, killing him. Michael chases a man away from the room, but reaches a dead end outside - and meanwhile, Templeton exits from his act as if nothing strange has happened. Bonnie has taken a liking to Templeton, so she has lunch with him on stage the next day. Meanwhile, Michael and KITT find out that the dead end actually has a hidden fire exit, and when Michael enters, he ends up on stage as well. Even though Michael has the feeling that Templeton is the murderer (and he knows Templetone was at the murder of the fourth shareholder), he can't prove it yet. More strangeness occurs when a hertz appears at the hotel and nearly clips Devon, but when Michael and KITT chase down the car, they find no one inside (actually, Templeton was the driver). The incidents all lead back to Ian Browning. He has been retaining money from the fortunes and has been using Templeton to kill off his competitors. Devon is captured by the pair, but RC3 and Michael are able to save him from drowning in a magician's dunk tank and stop Templeton and Browning before they can escape.
THOUGHTS: -Okay episode, but they still didn't explain some things (like how did Templeton escape from the Hertz?).
FAVORITE QUOTE: "I may be able to reproduce the tiger's mating call, but after that, she's on her own!" -KITT to Michael, after saving Michael from a tiger using the a male tiger mating call.
NITS: -Some of the opening montage shots show the version of KITT from season 1 (with the long hood/thin scanner).
-KITT just happens to have some Mozart in his tape deck to calm the Tiger down.
