A longtime sportswriter named Damon Leland is murdered at home after calling Devon. He was telling Devon that he finally got evidence to prove that legendary boxer Bo Keeler took a fall in a fight years earlier and that Keeler's rematch with the same fighter is not on the level. Michael does some investigating and finds that Keeler's new manager, Lou Davis, hooked up with Keeler only a short time after Keeler's previous manager died (and that Keeler believed he caused the previous manager's death). Davis is actually only in it for the money, and has been using Keeler's guilt to set up a $40 million rematch. There is even evidence that KEeler suffered brain damage during the previous fight and that he is not able to fight again - the fight doctor has been paid off by Davis as well. Michael is able to get to another doctor (the one David paid to set Leland up) and obtain the real brain scans, proving Davis has been lying to Keeler all along. Davis sets up many traps for Michael - he has one of his men set up a meeting with Michael, only to kill the man and miss Michael; he floods a dam to try and trap KITT; and he even terrorizes Keeler's wife. Michael is able to free Keeler's wife and find Keeler himself in the empty arena - but Davis has been following him. Michael and Keeler fight together and eventually defeat Davis and his men. As the episode ends, Keeler and his wife get back together and Keeler swears that he has fought his last fight.
THOUGHTS: -Well, another "theme" episode I guess, this time with boxing. Decent show...but strangely enough, no Super Pursuit Mode?
