Knight of A Thousand Devils

Nitcentral's Bulletin Brash Reflections: Knight Rider: Season 4: Knight of A Thousand Devils
Knight of A Thousand Devils

Michael takes part in an FBI raid on a man named Ronald Becker, a mobster and known swindler of billions in cash. The raid goes south when Becker finds out about the raid, and Becker escapes while leaving the top agent dead. Michael heads to a lead - one of Becker's known girlfriends, one Claudis Torell. Claudia invites Michael to dinner, having been tipped off by one of Becker's men that Michael was at the raid. Michael goes to a warehouse to meet Claudia for dinner, but only finds drawings and designs for baja race cars. Becker's men show up and try to torch the building, but Michael escapes. It turns out that Becker is sponsoring an illegal baja race to get into Mexico. Once there, he will contact Roderigo DeLorca (a known mobster himself) and pay $1 million for a plane to South America, as well as sign over some investments to make DeLorca an even wealthier man. Michael heads to the baja area and eventually lands in a bar with a waitress who is also a racer in the event - Anna-Lucia Cortez. After helping her with her vehicle, Michael is jumped by Becker's men and tossed into a hole nearby. RC3 and KITT are able to save Michael, but the race has already begun. After catching up, Michael is able to take out Becker's men, but not before Anna-Lucia's car is caught in the crossfire. While RC3 follows Becker into Mexico via a riverside highway, Michael tends to Anna-Lucia - but she pulls a gun on him. Her name is actually Estrella Alonzo and she is working with the Mexican police to take down DeLorca. Knowing they are on the same side, Michael and Estrella team up and head to Tuborga's estate. Meanwhile, Tuborga has Becker sign away half his investments as insurance - then kills Becker and Claudia. Michael and Estrella get there just in time to stop DeLorca from escaping with the papers.

THOUGHTS:
-Good episode, though some parts seemed a little strained (Michael gets tossed into a hole instead of simply killed?).

Star Trek Actor Watch: Henry Darrow (as DeLorca) played the Vulcan Admiral Savar in "Conspiracy" (TNG).

FAVORITE QUOTE:
"If my bike could talk, it would say, 'KITT my man, thank you.'"
-RC3 to KITT, thanking KITT for not making fun of his motorcycle (like everyone else does).

NITS:
-Both before entering the warehouse and after the blast, KITT's lights reflect on the camera.

-KITT's lights also reflect on the camera when Michael drives up to the bar in Mexico.

-Why didn't KITT notice he was being boxed in before Michael called him?
