Knight of the Rising Sun

Nitcentral's Bulletin Brash Reflections: Knight Rider: Season 4: Knight of the Rising Sun
Knight of the Rising Sun

Someone has been trying to destroy the business of Nick O'Brien (Devon's old friend). Not only has this person been using lies and desception to try and make it seem like O'Brien is crooked, but he has also used ninjas to sabotage equipment. When Michael and RC3 arrive to investigate, they end up stopping one such attack - aimed at O'Brien's adopted son, Coy. Coy is actually Japanese - a woman gave Coy to O'Brien and abandoned them, with a warning of danger. The man who has been sabotaging O'Brien's business is Suki Taneka, a ruthless Japanese terrorist who believes that an ancient sect is the perfect race. Taneka believes Coy, the son of the sect's original founder, is the key to the sect's takeover. RC3 and Michael eventually track down Taneka, but both of them end up being captured. Coy uses his position as cover to let them escape, but the danger is not over - as revenge against O'Brien, Taneka plans to use controlled explosives to destroy his buildings. Devon warns O'Brien of the impending attacks, but Taneka's men still pass through. Luckily, the workers help Michael and RC3 fight off the ninjas and stop the explosives before any more damage can be done.

THOUGHTS:
-Good episode, but typical of season 4: Taneka is a little over the top, and there's not enough Bonnie! Plus, this episode could have used a turbo boost or two to liven things up.

FAVORITE QUOTE:
(Coy enters the FLAG semi and takes a look at the computer equipment)
COY:"Man, KITT is bad...but this is bad!"
DEVON: "I think you've been spending too much time with RC."

NITS:
-The shot of KITT driving to Taneka's at night comes from season 2.
