---Synopsis:
Ross begins dating one of his students, despite the school frowning upon it, and despite the jokes from the gang about the age difference. A fire in Phoebe’s apartment forces her to move in with Joey and Rachel with Monica, but Phoebe would rather switch. Joey asks Chandler to get him an audition with his high school friend, who is now directing an Al Pacino movie.

The gag where Joey non-chalantly drops a forkful of spaghetti onto the carpet is funny, but it’s interesting to note that during Chandler’s interview of him when he came to move in The One With the Flashback(3.6), Joey told Chandler that he was “fairly neat.” I guess he stretched the truth a bit get the apartment. Or became sloppier over time.

I don’t recall exactly, but during all the jokes the gang makes about how young Elizabeth is, does one of them come from Monica? If so, I’d find it odd that Ross didn’t remind her of the HIGH SCHOOLER she went out with (and slept with) in The One With The Ick Factor(1.22).

Ross was taking a big risk ere.

Yes, Elizabeth was of legal age, but if the college forbids it, he could still have lost his job.

Ross did say that it wasn't forbidden but it was "taboo" until it was pointed out that it, in fact, WAS forbidden.

But this whole storyline was ludicrous and Ross' character became one of the worst in the series from this point.

Many felt this show went a few seasons too many.

Stories like this are a reason why.

By Rodney Hrvatin (Rhrvatin) on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 - 7:24 pm:

Yeah the show went into a rapid decline after season 5. I think I've only seen the last few seasons once or twice....

Joey got a lot stupider in the later seasons.
