In The One Where Chandler Can't Cry(6.14), the gang pondered the fact that Chandler never cries, even at times when crying would be expected, like when he first saw Bambi as a child. But in this episode, he begins to cry simply because Ross gave Phoebe a bike in order to make up for her not having one as a child.

That's the sort of sweeping character trait made halfway through the series that can create painfully large continuity errors. I'm reminded of the British sitcom Men Behaving Badly, in whose very last episode writer Simon Nye decided to suddenly make Tony intensely dislike cheese, even though in the previous seasons one of his unusual hobbies had been 'doing cheese impressions'!

I wonder, would people in New York City *really* be this nice and friendly to a neighbor in their building *just* because they are making homemade chocolate and giving it away for free? I mean, doesn't that sound a little dangerous? Just attracting the attention of people you hardly know (or don't even know at all) just because you are good at making sweets and want to share that gift with others?

I had been thinking about this one for quite a while now. This situation just doesn't seem all that realistic to me. And this episode aired *before* 9/11, which makes it even more unbelievable! Am I the only one who feels this way about this?
