I pointed out how they had retconned Joey’s age in The One With Monica’s Thunder(7.1). Now they’ve done it with Rachel’s. In The One With Joey’s New Girlfriend(4.5), Gunther asked Rachel her birthday, and Rachel said May 5th. This is corroborated by the fact that the first two birthday parties for Rachel that were depicted were in The One Where Rachel Finds Out(1.24) and The One With Two Parties(2.22)}, which were at the end of their seasons, which is consistent with a May date. But the cop who looks at Rachel’s driver’s license in this episode says she’s an Aquarius, which would place her birthday in January or February. The creators seem to stick with this change from here on in, as she later has birthday parties in The One Where They All Turn Thirty(7.14), and The One With Phoebe’s Rats(9.12), which were first broadcast on February 8th, 2001, and January, 16th, 2003 respectively, both of which are more consistent with an Aquarius sign.

So they're consistent in their inconsistencies.

More than TPTB of Trek can say...

Wasn't the Porsche red when it first appeared in The One Where Rosita Dies(7.13)? Here, it's black. Is my memory playing tricks on me, or did Monica get a paintjob? (If so, it's not a very good one.)

Maybe the writers got confused cause Jennifer Aniston is in fact an Aquarius (as am I).

TRIVIA: As we know, Chandler's mom is named Nora. This episode establishes his dad's name to be Charles. Nora Charles was character from the Dashiell Hammett novel The Thin Man, and whom was played by Myrna Loy in the 1934 film based on that novel.

So, Kathleen Turner wasn't at all insulted when the producers approached her with this role? A woman playing a man who was cross-dressing as a woman? And the fact that she has a rather deep husky voice certainly didnt help the situation either!

I just wonder about this, because even though Ms. Turner's better days are clearly behind her (even in 2001) she really did used to have it goin' on! Ever see "Body Heat"? Or when she tried to seduce "Harvey Fierstein" (Jon Lovitz) on SNL? Hell, she was even still pretty hot in "The War Of The Roses"! But I digress. She accepted the role and apparently had no problem with it, but I would think that the average woman might be a bit insulted if this had happened to them.

And dont get me started on Morgan Fairchild and her pitiful attempts at staying young, both as Chandler's mom and in real life. Some women in Hollywood refuse to age gracefully for some reason, and they continue to dress provocatively and get all sorts of invasive plastic surgery done in order to hold on to the glory days of their youth. I wish they would not do that! You know what I mean?

Julie Andrews apparently had no problem with that situation when presented with the script for Victor/Victoria. Maybe the fact that her (now late) husband Blake Edwards was behind the film was the driving force in her doing it. That film is highly recommended, by the way.
